Amy, Major Pettigrew's Last Stand? It's going on the list.
That's it, Kat.
Did you read Shiver (YA)? There's a sequel out, Linger. I still have to read both, but I have them on the list. I also love the covers, which are so different than the blanket of Twilight black out there.
Of course! Come by my office and see my organized chaos. :-D I'll set up the parking when I get in in the morning, and text you with the confirmation number.
Megan, the last books I have read are Solar by Ian McEwan, Wolf Hall (which, ohmigod, love. She made Thomas Cromwell a woobie!), The Girl Who Fell From the Sky and Marian Keyes latest. So I'll read most things except for World War II fiction and any book where all of the characters are patently unlikeable.
Polgara = awesome!
I haven't read Shiver.
Also on my list are the Rick Riordan books which I heard are super fun.
Megan, have you read The Last Rendezvous by Anne Plantagenet? Heard good things but it's not in my library system yet.
These are within the last year or two:
YA:
The Book Thief (Attn! WWII)
Thirteen Reasons Why
When You Reach Me
Fiction:
Await Your Reply
Non-Fiction:
Lost City of Z
I just got back into reading so I have a lot of catching up to do. I finished City of Thieves and The Book Thief just this weekend. I recommend both, although they are both WWII.
Of course, I have my quest-themed book salon this month so my priority right now is getting back to Don Quixote.
I bought DH a copy of The Road for Father's Day. Owen made him a card (complete with the word "Hallmark" on the back). I hope it's not too weird a gift but DH mentioned he wanted to read it and I was in the book store today.
