Oddly, indiana had very Seattle weather today, gorgeous and sunny and low humidity and not too hot. Seattle, which I just got back to, seems to not have that weather yet.

The freegan article made me roll my eyes because omg i so know those people. And they can be insufferable.

Oh my, Darby is adorable. So happy for the two of you, brenda...an my sympathies during this trying times to the kitty.

Do you use the phrase "I can't hear you when you whine." good times.

I have used that phrase more times than I can count this weekend. Or I'll say, "When you talk like that it hurts my ears and makes me not want to help you or give you what you are asking for."

"I have no clue what you are saying".

Though these days, at least with Kelly, it is more getting calls when she is overly emotional and I really can't figure what she is saying. "Breathe....slow down and breathe and say that again".

I was totes a whiner as a kid. I don`t know how my parents didn`t punt me across the pond.
 
Had a great get-together tonight. Of course the good game helped, but for three people who didn`t know each other everybody got along really well. It was fun to watch with other Hawks fans. I was happy to be social. My cough was not too bad. And although I`m tired now it wasn`t the total defeated tired that I`ve been having this cold. So yay, win!

Someone in my neighborhood has an air horn that they used every time the Hawks scored a goal.

Dog has found a spot where she's comfortable relaxing just inside the doorway of the spare room so I put a blanket down and she's crashed out. Cat has been hanging in the living room for two hours, despite the bedroom door being open (so she could go hide under the bed). Success!

Hooray! It sounds like neither one is overly stressed.

I`m so happy for new dog settling in! I think I`d better get my dog and snuggle him in celebration.

I showed my dog the picture of Darby. He seemed mildy interested. My guess is that he was acting blase to hide his joy at seeing another similarly colored dog get a good home.
