Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My grandmother used to call the fire department sometimes when she needed help moving my quadraplegic grandfather (she had this manual sling lift thing, and sometimes he slipped), and they always came like it was a fire. She had to run and stop them from breaking the door down at least once.

YES I AM TAKING MY MOM TO HER FIRST ROCK CONCERT.

Awesome.

I like sweet potatoes without anything else sweet, either cut up and roasted or just baked, with salt.

call me jacki; zuisa is an internet nick from ancient times =)

Thank you for the welcome! And the map IS right! But I'm a bit east of Mongolia; it's actually northern China - city called Harbin.

Hi zuisa!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Welcome, zuisa!

Everyone said he was surprisingly short.

ita says that's most celebs she's seen.

We're planting some tomato plants we got in planters. DH is making his own topsy turvies--he bought cheap plastic buckets and painted them bright pink & purple. So cute!

I need to write and do some work on a thing this weekend. So no slacking or Bejeweled Blitz, if I can help it.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

So, not Genghis Khan then? Oh well. Welcome anyway.

My dad does that with the hanging flower baskets line with coconut or whatever that brown stuff is - cuts holes in the bottom, plants the tomatoes, plants or replants the flowers on top. So much nicer looking than the commercial ones. Yours sound fun!

Cat and I are having a quiet morning snuggling on the couch before today's cleaning-palooza gets underway. I also may try to get out to get more plants (and planters, which will be an interesting trick.) My container gardening may be getting a little bit out of control.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Hiya Zuisa!

I have a case of post-travel feeling like crap, so aside from a grocery run and a possible viewing of The Losers, I suspect today's gonna be pretty low-key.

And by "low-key" I mean "prone".

Cherries have appeared at the market. Mmmm.

But omg, it is hot and humid out. No way is it barely 80. And it is 9 am. Was planning on walking, but now I'm thinking not. Just swim.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

It is almost 80 here, too, and I find that I have OD my account by $16.

Bugger.

It's been a while, though, so I am trying not to feel too badly about it.

Need to try and get some sleep. I dozed off and on between 2 and 5, got up and played around online, made toast. I think I shall read for a bit in bed here in a while.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Welcome to Buffista Land, zuisa! If you like cooking and/or cats as much as you like vampires, you'll never leave.

Harbin is a fascinating and lovely city - I know someone there, and so I have done the requisite Wikipedia visit. It's on my Bucket List of places to go.

In random news, I just realized I always thought the first line of "Sexual Healing" is "My apartment's like an oven," and....it's not.
