Mal: Yeah, well, just be careful. We cheated Badger out of good money to buy that frippery, and you're supposed to make me look respectable. Kaylee: Yes, sir, Captain Tightpants.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

He looks better than in recent photos. She looks tired. Did not get close enough to check for jewelry on my recon pass to the bathroom (we are so slick, but the DH was a doubter). Funnily enough, she spotted him on the heels of me mentioning my horrific spotting of John Cusack here before.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am glad I do not watch FNL anymore. From what you all are posting I could not deal with it. I'll pick up the seasons I've missed at some point.

Well we made it through to mac's bedtime and I think he is actually asleep now, but not before another moment of yelling and tears.

This weekend I'm going to aim for quietness in my alone times. Possibly some meditation. Should that not pan out, I may hit a bar.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Huh. I've lived a life free of (noticeable) cat farts.

You haven't had kittens or geriatric cats in a while, have you, tommy?

msbelle, someday you'll love watching FNL again.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

sarameg - where did you get those shoes in the front that you wore to the wedding? I had a pair almost just like those years ago and the dog ate them (they must be a tasty style) and I've tried for YEARS to replace them. Although knowing my luck with shoes you probably got them in Yemen 12 years ago.

Nope.

I have no idea. I've had them since at least 2002 (when I wore them to yet another wedding!) though probably longer, cause they weren't new then they've worn really well. Starting to get some patent peeling around the buckles, solved by a sharpie marksalot. They are the Unlisted brand.

And I feel your pain. I've been looking for more like them and haven't seen like in stores. Online is better, but I really can't buy online unless I know the brand fits me already. I've got odd feet.

My neighbor has volunteered to do all the returns for Zappos shopping for me, but it still seems like such a chore.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Much healthy~ma for Matt's dad, ND's mom, and Pix's mom. The universe needs to lay off right the fuck now.

Plugging my ears for FNL talk. I'm saving up the episodes so I can watch a bunch at once. It'll be easier to take the pain in one shot.

Yes, Harrison Ford still wears the earring. [link]

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I got mine at Mervyn's on clearance. It was a total fluke thing - I walked in getting a pair of shoes at the last minute wanting black, platform, ankle strap shoes. And there they were. Only pair left, on clearance, my size. I almost killed the dog when I was done crying and yelling, "Why God why??"

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Aha! I can read whitefont by cutting and pasting.

sarameg, I rewound to check. What's funny is, I was just thinking that he was going to have blisters and/or hurt himself b/c his body mechanics were wrong, so I was kind of primed to see it. I understand why they did it the way they did, to emphasize that feeling you were talking about, but I felt myself wishing that Riggins et al would come help. Or Julie ! But that would have been too pat.

It's great watching Riggins mature and yet remain himself. They are handling that evolution very well, I think. And how awesome and perfect that Coach watches his old players' games, thereby enabling a Smash shoutout!

My one tiny wish is that someone would at least mention Tyra . But we'll see.

Bedtime for me.
