I like the way the walls go out. Gives you an open feeling. Firefly is a good design. People don't appreciate the substance of things. Objects in space. People miss out on what's solid.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm going to pick up my very first CSA order tonight, probably spending too much money (new tv) tomorrow, and then going to brunch on Sunday. I'm trying to convince myself I feel well enough to go to a party tonight, but I think my sinuses have other ideas.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I'm going to try and be healthy enough to leave the house. That's my big goal for the weekend.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Working on new play, laundry, cleaning and taking the pups to the dog park. Maybe a movie on Sunday. The DH is getting home on Monday. Poor guy--he is on a solo motorcycle ride around Oregon and it has been pouring rain every day so far.

Oh can the Canadian really go out on a French word?

Because books.

I'm finishing cleaning the closet, writing, Ben has baseball, and keeping Sara occupied.

I'm too short for most maxi dresses, and too lazy to get them hemmed. Maybe I could wear them with my cowboy boots, though!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm recovering from travel tonight. Tomorrow I have a little bit of work to do, and then I'm hoping to see The Losers. Aside from that, I expect I'll be spending a fair bit of time making up my cruel abandonment of my cat for the past three days.

Oh Matt Saracen...

I was so sad for the tiny little Canadian!! On a French word! A few of the other words I've known or were easy--gnocchi?!? Netsuke? Mauke?

I was out on the back deck, cursing mosquitos. (Thank goodness a) MD mosquitoes don't give me weeklong half dollar lumps and b) my bug spray oddly soothes them.) And marvelling that 4 months ago, standing in that same place, the snow was to my hips, even with the railings. Loki frantically digging at the snow.

Now, Loki is stalking the flies that snuck it, looking like a marionette operated by a cracked out monkey.

Seasons. Funny.
