Fred: Oh my God! Angel, you're…cute! Angel: Fred, don't! Fred: Oh, but the little hands! And the hair! Angel: Hey! You're fired.

Coding and Sleeping

Why? I mean, if I'm writing a book about, say, Pelosi, I'm probably going to rent places in D.C. and S.F. to get access. Were those places smaller, it would be likely I'd at least maybe be in the same neighborhood, and if someone near her offered me a place for cheap (especially in SF) I'd totally live next door.

Being understandable doesn't mean it's not creepy. Hi, I've rented out the place next door, by the way, I'm writing a book about you.

Now if she's accusing him of being a pedophile that's pretty detestable, but so would pulling out the Nazi card (though Glen Beck is really putting everybody else to shame on this front).

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My feet are also on the wide side of normal. Alas.

The real reason they don't fit me is that I don't wear a size 9! I'm not sure what I was thinking that day...

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Probably that they were really cute. I've tried that rationale before. "I know I wear a 9.5 or a 10, but maybe these will fit...ow, ow."

Shit's all sorts of different now.

"In a good shoe, I wear a size six, but a seven feels so good, I buy a size eight."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have a pair of steel-toed Mary Janes on exactly that premise. There's actually a note on my fridge telling me I don't take that size Doc Martens--I've been down that road before, but I just couldn't stop myself. And I can't bring myself to give them to charity. Because, sure, the right pair of thick socks could fix everything...

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

My understanding is that he rented the house next door. The owner is engaged in one of those neighbor feuds with the Palins. When SP found out about this, and that he was writing a book about her (and expecting it to be negative), she said something about how she didn't know what kind of information he'd get by looking into Piper's bedroom, at her little garden, and the family swimming hole. Piper being ... eight or so, I think. That's where the pedophilia slant comes in.

McGinnis said that he wasn't going to bring in lights, cameras, etc., that he wanted to talk to people who'd known SP for years and that they should be glad it was him and not someone who'd have cameras trained on them.

Todd Palin, seemingly, went and talked to JMcG and things got hostile. Then SP was posting things on ... Facebook, I think. JMcG says he's been getting death threats, has asked for police protection, and brought up the Nazi comment as saying this is the kind of thing the Nazis did, intimidating their opponents and threatening them.

Now it seems the Palins have put up a big fence between their house the the neighbor's but, not satisfied with how effective it's going to be, they're talking about having to move out for the duration of JMcG's lease ... three months, I think.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

yikes, msbelle. I'm really sorry.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I thought it was 5.

I just don't see it as as big a deal as she's making it.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I just don't see it as as big a deal as she's making it.

Well, Palin is constantly trying to paint herself as the "victim" of the "lame-stream media," and this fits that narrative, so she's running with it.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Piper was about 5 or 6 during the 2008 campaign, so that would make her about 8 now.
