That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Darby is adorable!

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Aww, what a sweet face Darby has!

I have a weak spot for mixes that have the coloring of one side but the size of another.

My dad had a dog that was the size of a cocker spaniel but looked just like a golden retriever.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aw, Darby! Too bad that was the name of my HS best friend's cockapoo.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yay cutiehead!

I did not know the Fillion was at the 500! I could have been at the 500 with him! And ok, half a million other people but still!

In a surprise to no one, my favorite TK photo is one with him and all his hockey gear.

So! I am vertical today. In an attempt to return to reality. I do not know how it`s going to go, though, because by 5 I am usually a sodden coughing mess, and rehearsal does not start until 7:30. But this Sat. is the memorial service for our sound man`s wife, who died unexpectedly. And he falls in the category of cranky old dudes who inexplicably like me, so I really feel like I need to go. But it`ll be a hell of a day, so we`ll just have to play it by ear.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Aw, puppy! What a cutie, brenda. I hope the visit goes well.

Sad about Rue, though. Not fair that so many of these folks are leaving us while relatively young. 76 is not old, or it shouldn't be, dagnabit.
