"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

There's no guarantee that a) the shoes would reach me on time and/or b) the pair I choose fits properly.

That's why you order six and return the ones that don't fit!

Though sometimes I worry that Zappos will get mad at me.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

You're in a long-term committed relationship. I'm sure Zappos finds such quirks endearing.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Zappos is one polyamorous relationship I'm staying in.

Trudy, glad they caught this with your sister and she's ok!

I solved one of my meal planning dilemmas this evening by having the kids pick one meal that they will make this week and write down all the ingredients. Liv picked spaghetti (no surprise there) and Owen picked Cheeseburger Deluxe.

lisah! I think my nearest neighbors can cover it, but thanks. I still have your bottle of wine...sigh.

What time do you expect to be going down 33rd? You are totally hitting the sweet spot of the race, huh? Gummi bears, tiger guy, hula hoops... hospital! A coworker is doing the half and I told him I'd try to time it to cheer for him. I'll be to and from the market by then but will head back to the Y around his due-in time (we're going @8:30, and are usually back in an hour)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Aaaaand I'm going to Halloween Horror Nights one night we're in L.A. I may never sleep again.

I've always been too scared to go. I am the perfect horror movie audience member because I always get scared and scream and such, except I actually dislike feeling scared. I'm impressed that you are going to go anyway.

OK those haunted houses look terrifying to me.

I am such a wimp.

Ok, so Loki seems to be making progress with the halter and leash, no longer oozing or backing up...except he's damned foulmouthed on it. Not to me, and not really to anything in particular, but he starts growling and caterwaulering (he HISSED the moment he left the house.) He's not really mad; ears forward and tail up, no hackles, so I guess he's just posturing after his not-run-in with Kittyboy and the cat-stink on the chairs next door. Still, weird.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Whoa. This Jezebel post is chock full of WTFery goodness. I feel like I should know what Samantha Ronsen looks like, but from the comments it appears I can sub in Jenny Shimizu and be just fine. t /reductionist snark

Tonight is my first night on the new sleep meds. Please to be potentially ignoring all my subsequent posts.
