Punishingly Intricate

Hooray for feeling fine!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Congrats for the first session done and over, and for feeling fine. Not so good for scaring Juliana, though. Or for, you know, reactions like turning red and stopping breathing. We like you breathing, we really do.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Holy crap, I just got an email with an amazing story. A guy in Illinois called my friend who was on the Greece-Turkey trip, and said he had found a camera that got run over by a car, but he was able to get the pictures off the memory stick, and did she know whose camera it might be. It was her sister's camera. How did the guy call my friend? He noticed pictures of her, found a group shot where we had name tags on, googled her and my father and found the two names in geographical proximity, and called her up! We live in scary times.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Yay Perkins!

I skipped to the end to say that I'm going to have to unsub from Natter. I'll stick around in Bitches as long as I can. Much love, y'all.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I know it's going to be hard and you're going to be sick but I'm so glad the initial stuff went smoothly, relatively speaking. And I am glad beyond words that juliana was there for you. I feel so much better with her there as our proxy. Much love to you.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

What a great bit on Princess Boy. And that bit about accepting your child for who they are goes so much further than just accepting kids who challenge our ideas of gender roles. It could go for all sorts of things. I know I never felt accepted for who I was and it was because I was an artist instead of "something practical".

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Yay Perkins! Well, yay on having one session down, not yay on the reaction, because -- STOP THAT NOW.

Emmett: [Blah blah]...only cool people get to do it.
Me: I'm cool!
Emmett: You are vainglorious.
Me: Nuh uh. I was being ironic.
Emmett: No, you were being boastful and you didn't care what anybody else thought about it.

Man, he busted you, but good! Busted via vocabulary!

Emmett: I didn't even know what "ameliorate" meant last week!

Ahahahaha!!!

Perkins, I'm glad the chemo went mostly okay. And that you had juliana there to support you.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Perkins, I'm so sorry you have to go through this, but I'm glad Juliana could be there.
