Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's a hideous outfit but not an objectively terrible color combination, IMO.

brillig

I was unaware that DB had a not-so-hidden desire to be a pimp.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I was unaware that DB had a not-so-hidden desire to be a pimp.

It's all part of his plan.

  • Step 1: Become a pimp.
  • Step 2: Kill all the chickens.
  • Step 3: Profit!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I was unaware that DB had a not-so-hidden desire to be a pimp.

You have evidently a) not been on the internet and b) not been clicking on Matt's links. He used to be really appalling. I think Bones came with a stylist.

Except for the socks apparently. The ads for the most recent season prominently display that his taste in socks is still way out there.

I don't know how much of that is DB, but it's definitely a part of the character. DB's off-show appearances have been severely toned-down and grown up in the past few years, though.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hee. This is why I only had to choose my coat from a large and exciting array of grey coats. I am not one to talk, though, because I arranged this entire trip's wardrobe into one color scheme so I can mix and match as I please. (Black and blue if you were wondering.)

Because books.

DB was definitely pimping in that Dido video he was in, too.

This coat was available in black, burgundy, and beige. I already had a full length black leather coat (not this nice) and numerous shorter black jackets. The beige one could have been cool Switch, Matrix-style, especially when my hair was beige, but I wanted to step outside my boundaries.

You can see how well that's working out.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

So, I was parallel-parked across the street and backed into the neighbor's motorcycle. She got an estimate on the repairs and it's over $1000. This seems really expensive to me. I know we have some people here who are more knowledgeable than I am; can I ask for guidance?
