'The Killer In Me'
Natter 66: Get Your Kicks.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, pandas, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I love fried dough. Also, hyperbole and a half.
They did?? I literally can't remember the last time I went into Dunkin to buy a donut.
but Jesse, you live in Boston now, isn't it required? Don't they have one every like 50 yards?
Parenthood just broke me. I'm not sure if it's because I'm super tired and my nerves are frayed, or if it really did hit me that hard.
I've been having one big issue with it. The decision about whether or not to tell Max that he has Asperger's has been centered entirely on the parents. There has not been any discussion of how telling him or not telling him would affect HIM. He knows that he goes to therapists and doctors and stuff, and he must realize that most other kids don't, so if the parents aren't willing to talk about it, he's probably building up some totally wrong narrative in his head about what's wrong with him. Also, we've seen several times that other kids have called him a freak or other names. The reaction to that has almost always been to try to make him act more normal, not to help him deal with whatever feelings it brings up when other kids pick on him. And, if he does realize that he's different from other kids, would it be helpful to have the adults around him acknowledge that difference, and would it be helpful for him to have a name for it? I don't know what the answer to those questions is, and I assume it would be different for different kids, but I'd like to see the show at least address it.
I want a donut now. I think that the closest place that makes vegan donuts is in Bethlehem, and I don't think that driving three hours for a donut is really practical. Maybe I can make some donuts. I know I've seen some recipes.

Maybe there's someone who's closer and has vegan donuts and a donut cannon....
Totally adorable.
I have an ENORMOUS crush on that guy now. Wibble.
Totally adorable.
How cool! And, hey, his daughter's name is Allie. It's a big day for Allies and 'cakes.
yay for the good news, Perkins!
but where to get donut holes?
Don't you have Happy Donuts down there?
I should check with my friend Kim. If anybody knows where to get decent donuts in LA she would.
Has anyone seen a count of how many rescuers have gone down into the mine? I can only find the count of how many miners have been rescued and how many miners are still underground.
At the moment there are still 4 miners underground, but there are more than 4 people that need to be brought to the surface.
