And Krispy Kremes somehow do not fall into the same category as other donuts. I do not know why.
It's because they are actually a different kind of thing -- Krispy Kremes are a yeast dough, Dunkin et al are cake. I believe.

Boston Kreme doughnuts from Dunkin have yeast in them, according to the web site.
I used to like cake doughnuts. And why not? Hey, cake! NSM anymore. Not sure what's up with that.
Cake donuts are the best, especially blueberry cake donuts. Yummm. Although I will not say no to a vanilla-frosted long john (no filling, please!), but that's just to serve as a delivery system for the vanilla frosting.
Dunkin' has both cake and yeast donuts. I am a fan of all donuts but prefer yeast ones.
Seriously. Donuts are definitely a Thing for me. I love them way too much.
Dunkin' has both cake and yeast donuts.
Huh!

Of course, I eat donuts pretty rarely these days. And I never really forgave Dunkin' Donuts for abandoning the cruller.
They didn't respect the cruller?
No, they didn't and it was one of my favs at Dunkin.

They did?? I literally can't remember the last time I went into Dunkin to buy a donut.
