Buffy: He ran away, right? Giles: Sort of, more. turned and swept out majestically, I suppose. Said I didn't concern him. Buffy: So a mythic triumph over a completely indifferent foe? Giles: Well, I'm not dead or unconscious, so I say bravo for me.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I haven't heard the story of how the miners got the first "hey 33 of us are alive in here" note out. And I can't even imagine keeping hope up for 17 days before they did.

CNN does a dece job of shutting up when the miners emerge but some of them act like they're being interrupted. Dude, you're the filler, they're the story.

I slept in a bit, and just finished applying stripper to 3/4 of 13 of the spindles. Gonna go swim then strip some paint.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Well, the cool thing about self-imposed deadlines is you can self-unimpose them.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I slept in accidentally. But I need to get out there and clear some tumbleweeds, because the SO woke up super early to go out with his former student and cut us some oak! Yay, firewood! I made another little fire last night because I can't help it. I love fires.

Anyway, super busy, so I am missing my swim right now. Damnit. I went yesterday, but they were closed, and gave me a new piece of paper with their schedule that said so. I was pissy, because it takes me an hour to get in and back. So then not only was I killing time like I thought I was going to be afterwards before we played, I was also killing the hour I thought I was going to be swimming. So I went to the library. And then that closed!

And then I freaked some poor lady out, because I'd seen her sitting outside the library, and then I saw her sitting outside by where I parked for the performance, and so I asked her, did she need a lift somewhere. "No," she said, she lived right there, but was thinking. So I left, but went the wrong way, and then also remembered I should bring my music, so I walked past her again, so she moved. Then I walked the right way, which was past her again, but I acted like I didn't see her. And then the SO showed up, so we walked back to the car to get his coat, which was past her once more.

Sorry, lady! I'm not stalking you, just lost!

Punishingly Intricate

And I can't even imagine keeping hope up for 17 days before they did.

That's the part that blows my mind!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

What rhymes with Derri? Or maybe with bass, the instrument?
