Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

I'm worried about the deposit on the battlekid, though.

I was going to make a joke about No Deposit No Return, but it wouldn't be true.

So, Grace doesn't know her colors. Can't tell blue from red from green. She can, however, find the hexagon, star, circle and triangle. I wonder if she's color blind? So, I guess it's time to work on her colors with both sign and regular speech.

Also, she can almost sign I Love You.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'm worried about the deposit on the battlekid, though.

I'm the only person who hasn't had to take the Nephlet to the ER*, so it's the one area I have no experience in damages. But I am told they heal pretty well when small.

*Eventually that would be how I convinced him to stop doing clearly dangerous things. Because I had a record to maintain. So far, he's been a champ. If only I could get him to do that around others now...

Or, you know, something in a colour.

Blasphemer!

Unless you mean gray. In which case, I concur.

In shallow news, the Tresemme dry shampoo is drying my hair out too much. I had to deep condition today. I think I need the dry shampoo for dry hair instead.

She could do the sign before Noah, actually. He practiced in the car the whole way home from preschool. She will do signs on command from us, but for the first time a few weeks ago, she signed something spontaneously (it was flower after seeing the print on my dress).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Nah, pretty much all those options discussed are somewhere on the black-grey-silver continuum.

But in out family, a great purple never goes amiss. My mother wore gold to the last wedding, and my father was entirely in white.

Get out of town, Grace!
