Lancome sold tiny vials of Micropailettes when I worked there in 96, which was the best truly sparkly, not irritating iridescent, silver glitter I have come across
God, I loved that stuff. That, and the Lancome liquid eyeliner that came in the tiny glass bottle.
Heee! Apparently Monistat Chafing Gel is as good as Smashbox: [link] (that sentence, by the way, cracks me up for its potential irony.
MAC Prep & Prime SPF 50 is still the best stuff I've found.
I have to admit, I don't love the feel of it but it's fantastic when I need extra sun protection on my face.
I was outside all day in the scorching Southern California sun three days in a row during their recent heat and that layered with a tinted moisturizer (also with a sunscreen) and Aromaleigh power (barrier sunscreen) over it and I didn't burn. At all.
They sold the Lancome stuff for like, 1 year? I was so sad.
They also has Macquieclat concealer which had a sponge applicator and the PERFECT yellow for concealing undereye circles. Why they discontinued that I'll never know.
Sorry, flea! High end makeup is the only designer thing I can sometimes afford, and I luuuurve it. Almost as much as books.
Heee! Apparently Monistat Chafing Gel is as good as Smashbox
You know, this really does not surprise me. I've half considered it when using the Chafing Gel wearing skirts and dresses in summer heat because sweat will start some chafing on my legs like yucky whoa.
I finished grading all my papers! Now I need to enter grades into the e-grade book and I'll be done for last week! So excited because Edmodo, a social networking site we use for classwork, says I have nothing new to attend to. That's the first time this school year.
Why they discontinued that I'll never know.
The whole universe of discontinued makeups always fascinates me, particularly when it's a much loved brand.
I know that styles change, but it seems like there's no institutional memory about worked.
I wonder if they could market it the way the Warner Brothers Archive does DVDs of OOP movies to-order, or Rhino's Handmade series.
Some of the drugstore brands now have primers, but I haven't tried them.
O Rilly? Which ones?
I don't remember, but looking at drugstore.com it looks like Revlon, Loreal, CG, Maybelline and Rimmel have some version of them, at a start.
Thank you, ND. I get having the 2 ten out of twelves, because we have to stop and do things, but having to do all costume/hair makeup before and after my twelve hour days is beginning to annoy me. Since we advertise that our advantage is that we have new young proffessional deisners and director each show, I might be able to convince them that this way is too much like theatre school. Most of tech seems to be about making design decisions- is that normal?
I just repaired a vacuum cleaner while watching football. Today I am the queen of multi-tasking. Next up, folding clothes or knitting?
