I feel bad about Aromaleigh closing shop because I really loved it and also because I really pimped it.
I did stock up pretty well. Though not perfectly.
I am personally bummed because I grabbed a small thing of Private Lunacy from Victoria's Revenge, thought it wasn't me and didn't get a big one. Then I actually TRIED it and loved it. And I can't have it. *pout*
(And OK, I feel like a dork because she was sold out of the 2CL so I bought a bunch of 1CL, only to find that I vastly prefer how the 1CL looks on me and that I've been wearing the wrong color for the past two or three years. Oops.)
Burrell, want to swap an unopened 1CL for a 2CL? I think I can do that. I overbought in the wrong direction and while 1 matches my face, in summer it fails to match the rest of me and looks masky, so a light dust of 2CL works better for part of the year. (After I post, I am going to check my stock and will come back and edit. Can do. I have an unopened 1CL that I will happily trade for a 2CL. I have Ghost to pale it up which works better for my skin.)
My latest color obsession is finding a pretty olive green nail polish.
Oooh, we should talk. Darker, lighter? Shimmers from other colors okay or not?
I stocked up like a crazy person with the Aromaleigh stuff, because it doesn't go bad and I didn't want to think about trying to find another foundation I really liked. Or eyeshadow. I think I ended up with six or seven jars of Bleeding Poppy from the Victoria's Revenge collection.

Let me check my stash. I may have a jar of it I don't need.
Mascara should be tossed after a year or if it's hard to apply.
Powder shadows and such are generally fine for 3-4 years, as long as you keep them shut and wash your makeup brushes.
Lipstick, I would toss after two years. Pencil eyeliners; I keep those until they're gone. Liquid liner, about two years.
Foundation, concealer -- about two-three years, unless it separates or starts to smell. I use it rarely, so I just use Effecernes concealer from Lancome on my eyes, any spots, and around my mouth and the creases of my nose, set with a little power foundation (Philosophy Supernaturals.)
Anything you use on your eyes should be tossed if if you have had pinkeye or an eye infection, with the exception of pencil eyeliner, which can be wiped with alcohol, then sharpened about a half inch. Cake eyeliner, too, you can just rub some alcohol on the top layer, and then scrape away the top bit with a razor blade.
I am a big fan of Smashbox, and I have never had to actually BUY their primer or their undereye brightener, which I love, because I've gotten them a couple of times in good sized sample sized with purchases, or with a beginner kit. I adore their cream liner kits, because you get a bunch of fab cream liners, in metallics, even.

I will pay you cash paypal if you do. I actually meant to ask because it seemed unJilli but I knew you dabbled in the Victoria's Revenge collection.

I did too. I think I have four or five unopened jars of ultra-resolution. Just made an error on one foundation that I might be able to trade with Burrell and make us both happy. Yay us peoples!
The company that makes my foundation(and the facial wash I use) went to on-line sales only earlier this year. I've been buying a couple bottles at a time since I don't know if they're actually making the stuff anymore or if they're just selling what's in the warehouse.
(Its Prescriptives, and I use the Virtual Skin in Real Cream which evens out my skin tone nicely without being too heavy.)
I've gotten hooked on Paula's Choice RESIST lotion [link]
I've been using it for about a month, and my skin tone has evened out a lot. My hope is that my skin tone will eventually be so even that I won't need foundation at all.
I was going to Google something and now I can't remember what it was. Damnit.

I'm sure Google's working on a Chrome extension for that problem.
Jessica, that's the story of my life!
I had a good yoga today, which is always nice. We didn't do anything crazy, though I'm pretty close to eka pada koundinyasana II: [link] however close still means thudding to the floor.
I need a new yoga mat as my current one is slip sliddy in ways I don't like.
I have 22 more essays to grade then i'll be all caught up. I kinda just want to randomly assign grades.
Also, in terms of makeup, I bought L'Oreal's Visible Lift because they had a little match your skin by trying dabs of it in a magazine and I could actually try it in the bathroom light then the natural light and I could match their hues to the actual skin tone of my face. I'm easy like that.
I do moisturizer and foundation + lipstick. If I'm really fancy I'll do mascara. Otherwise, nothing. Oh and I usually do a scent of some sort -- maple is my go to scent. Followed by vanilla, or sugar cookies.
