I completely revamped my make up collection based on buffista recs and I've never had more fun. Except I am sad now that I fell in love with Aromaleigh foundation and then she folded up shop. Luckily I bought a bunch of foundation, shadow, and powder before the store closed. (And OK, I feel like a dork because she was sold out of the 2CL so I bought a bunch of 1CL, only to find that I vastly prefer how the 1CL looks on me and that I've been wearing the wrong color for the past two or three years. Oops.)
let me burble about one of my new favorite products! Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics mixing medium
Please Jilli to always feel free to burble about make up products. I may need to get that product in particular because I almost always wear powder eyeliner, not liquid or pencil. I don't know why. I think it's because I am inept with liquid liners and pencils tend to be boring colors.
My latest color obsession is finding a pretty olive green nail polish. I also am wondering about the holographic colors. Do they all use the tons of glass sparkles to get the effect? I find them pretty to look at but I fear they will shred my nails like my other sparkly polishes.
I don`t wear mascara or eyeliner, because I get sweaty and prone to tears whilst emoting.
Ah, I am sweaty and teary on a regular basis (if I'm not actually crying, then my eyes are probably watering from allergies, thank you pollen and cats), but I wear Urban Decay's 24/7 eyeliner, and it really does not budge, even during a weeping fit. And I generally find that most waterproof mascara stays put on me, as long as I don't rub my eyes.

I feel you. I just opened my last jar of foundation, and I'm going to have to find a replacement in a couple of months, and I'm already stressed about it.
Well, I think we all know how that was going to play out. Now off to nap.
My dogs will bark, whine and scratch until they get a)food b) to go outside.
Darb is scarily well behaved. (Scarily because it's quite clear she was treated extremely harshly in the past.) I honestly think she'd have to be left on her own for like 48 hours before she'd pee. Barking and whining would probably actually be *good* signs.
But she does now express her preferences a ton more than she used to. Puppy dog eyes of doom are her weapon of choice, and she wields them like a master.

For reals. These past few years are the first time in my life I've worn make-up regularly at all, actually.
So I was going to go to church this morning, for the first time in yonks. I went to bed at midnight-ish. I WOKE UP AT ELEVEN. WTF. I didn't think I was really that tired.
I really feel for Darb. Seabiscuit was playing fetch in the hallway and I threw his toy and it caught the broom and knocked it over, badly scaring him. Remember, he`s afraid of all sticklike objects from being beaten. And this morning he was still afraid of the broom lying on the floor. I had just been wondering if he still remembered his past, but apparently he does. But on the bright side, he is an amazing gregarious, playful dog, and is for the most part completely over his fears and behaviours from the abuse. It`s hard to remember the dog he once was. So Darb will get there. I`m so glad she has you now.
And thanks for the eyeliner tip, Steph, will have to try. I`m still happy this morning fromlast night`s "super awesome" makeup compliment.
I never wore make-up regularly until I hit my 40s. I wear some sort of sheer foundation/sunscreen everyday. Sometimes just sunscreen with some powder on top. Also a concealer for the redness around my nose. Mascara, too. I don't wear lipstick because it feels weird. I do wear this, though, and love it: [link] Looks good, lasts most of the day, and I can't feel it. Oh, and blush, because Carmindy told me to.
I wear eyeshadow/eyeliner if it's a special event.
Oh yeah, I always wear blush with the foundation.
I think I'd like to wear makeup, but I have no idea where to begin. I have several sets, but all seem weird and uncommunicative to me.
One more thing to wait and see Buffistas in person for.
Unless I'm just running out to pick up milk or whatever, I always wear a little concealer, some very light foundation, translucent powder, a little blush, and mascara at the very least. But if there's time, I'll do a bit of eyeliner or shadow, too.
Oh, and I always have at least a tinted Burt's Bees on. Usually Cocoa or Peony.
for people wanting to moisturize and have sun protection, I recommend Oil of Olay with spf15 - they have a sensitive skin version. My foundation is also SPF of either 10 or 15. Shiseido Powdery Foundation, I highly recommend it for people who do not like liquid foundation, but want more than loose powder.
