I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

WE CLOSED!!!! OMFG!!! WHOOTT!!!!!

Just an FYI about how crazy this whole thing was, the closing took 4 HOURS!!! When I bought the place it was about an hour, maybe hour and a half. The closing in Texas was 30 minutes. I cannot even imagine what could have made it go on for 4 hours.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Well played, sir!

I am watching last night's CSI, which might be the stupidest thing ever. This is what you've come to, Laurence Fishburne?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Congratulations, msbelle!

I think I will try the Thai restaurant that put a flyer on my doorknob today. Wish me luck.

Aw. Tango is pulling at me especially. Once Darb is more settled, I would love to get another dog. It would do her really well. (Though, honestly, it all has to wait until the cat is gone. There is no way I can handle three animals, and my place is tiny.)

sarameg, hah. I put a leash on one of our cats once when someone called us to say they'd found our lost cat. (He wasn't lost.) It was like six or eight blocks home and I didn't trust him not to go back to their place since they fed him, and he was like 20 lbs so I really didn't want to carry him.

So I took him out of their place, put him on the sidewalk, and clipped the leash on. Did you know that cat claws can actually sink into sidewalk? I didn't. I eventually took the leash off, hauled him up, and carried him on my shoulder for about three blocks until we were far enough away and then let him go about his business.

I didn't need stitches, but it was a near thing.

Congrats, msbelle! That's a huge load off! I can't imagine a closing that long. Especially without the seller present (mine wasn't. It just took the time to flip through the papers and sign a million times.) Aren't you glad you didn't have to be there?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Does House rerun over the weekend sometime? I missed it this week, and Hulu doesn't show it until eight days after air date, so it looks like I'm stuck with Hulu until they go into reruns if I want to watch the episodes in order, unless I can find somewhere to watch this week's.

Loki's never even worn a collar, so this could be interesting. Pretty sure it would be a hellsNO with Devi. Mister Kitty, well not necessary, but he has worn a collar before. He doesn't really care to be outside. And I'm faster than he is.

Whoo! Msbelle.

Why no dog while you still have cats, msbelle? Because the cats will freak?

I am thinking about getting a dog sometime in the next few years. So much so, I'm thinking about driving lessons so I can drive without freaking out and get a car. (Not that I need to have a car to have a dog, but it would make travelling between my place and where my parent's live much easier to be able to take a dog.)

Sara, I used to walk Pico...she never went further than five feet from the door during the daylight. Nighttime was a different story. I don't think Clio has ever let me put her in a harness. Oz wiggled out of the harness the one time I got him one.

yeah, one of my cats especially pretty much hates all other animals. If I take the other cat to the vet alone he hisses at both of us for a week. I don't want to have outside only dogs, so it will be a few years.

Hah. I love having a car now, but honestly, until I had the dog it was really not jutifiable and I don't think I'd have done it. Most expensive dog in the world.
