And what's with all the carrots?

whereas clusterfuck is more that everyone is getting in each other's way of being productive

Sounds like my workplace.

Chiming in on favorite neighborhoods...West Portal has a wonderful thrift store and a fun little movie theater.

Our wings are not tired.

I also just saw a FB update from my cousin J. The doc approved the removal of her hard brace. I assume she will move into a soft brace for a while, but after having NO movement for a couple of months, I know she was looking forward to the soft brace.

Uh, she may want to leave it on so she doesn't make herself worse JUMPING UP AND DOWN during the play-offs!!! :)

Yo, Vrooom, you'll like my new hood.

I know, Megan. His teacher says he is doing well, but she is grading hard so that her students will be ready for French at the high school next year. His main struggle is with spelling (made worse by crappy hand writing).

Yep, Java. That is exactly what I texted her.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I love hearing that CJ is getting good grades, especially in Algebra!

Yeah, even though French is much more consistent in its spelling than English, the sounds are so different that I always had a couple of people each semester that had problems.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

My neighborhood has concert venues and awesome restaurants and a Target and gang violence! Also apparently a farmer's market on Thursday.

My neighborhood had (hell, probably still has) a gang that named themselves the Taliband. Doesn't that sound like a terrorist boy band, not a gang? And then we also have the best damn 4th of July parade (and rock-and-roll carnival), the gay bars, the leather bar, the year-round farmers' market, the funky restaurants, the bicycle co-op, and the white dude with dredlocks down past his ass (he frightens me).

Good for CJ!

I'm pretty fond of my current neighborhood. I'm right next door to a Buffista (amyth). Along with amyth I have two other good friends in my apartment complex, smonster within a couple of miles (for now), and several other delightful people within a reasonable drive. I'm also within walking or biking distance of two grocery stores and a farmers market, a drug store, a plethora or restaurants, a few nice bars, and my hair cutter. I hate the heat in the summer, and I miss snow in the winter. But sadly I can't airlift my tri-city area, complete with friends and work, up to Traverse City, so I'll probably stick around for a while.

call me jacki; zuisa is an internet nick from ancient times =)

I like my neighborhood well enough!! It's mostly residential but I can get to a ton of restaurants and town buildings within 30 mins walking. I mostly just love my town; it's incredibly diverse and multicultural and I always feel so lucky that I grew up here.

I'm pretty fond of our current neighborhood. Bungalow Heaven in Pasadena.
