Wheeeeee! Just talked with my manager. I got my grade change, plus a 5.5% raise as of October 16th, AND I am still eligable for a year end increase (which doesn't happen until the start of the 2nd quarter). Woot, woot!!!

Any news on your work front?
Well, I haven't received the raise that was "coming in September" and Big Boss in NY needs to "get to know me" before she can promote me. Nevermind that my boss and co-workers here completely support it.
I have given up on them. It has become clear that new Big Boss has no clue what we do and is not going to help the situation. Also, I think they are hoping to move our whole group to NY, so I am now actively looking for something else.
Anyone know of anything in the Bay Area for a French-speaking, former professor, now editor (and project manager/marketer), let me know!
