ETA: That's not to say that you can't dress up, just that you don't have to.
BUT YOU SHOULD.
Like the more reasonable churches, opera would rather have you in the seat in jeans than feeling like you can't attend because you don't have fancy enough clothes.
Yes, this is true. But if you have fancy clothes, I think you should wear them. I may be biased.
Do people still wear opera gloves to the opera?
I didn't see any the last time I went to the opera. Mind you, I wasn't wearing opera gloves, either. But I was wearing a tiny top hat, and a skirt with a bustle.
Last MiL update for the night
Very good news!
I don't know about the opera gloves. I kinda dig opera cloaks though.
I can certainly do better than jeans, but I feel like what I do have is probably a little casual for opera.
So my TiVO is filling up so fast because most of the shows I am recording are recording in HD and that does not seem to be adjustable. booo! I do not need talk shows in HD. srsly. I want my TiVO shows in SD and basic quality and lots and lots of space.
Why am I not sleeping? Seriously?
I am not sleepy either.
Someone needs to punch the insomnia fairy in the crotch.
Or rather, I'm extremely sleepy but am sleep free.
I am very much wanting to be asleep too. NSM with the actually sleeping.
I went to sleep at 11, but both Dan and I woke up at 430, early. I dunno why. It's ok, though; I;m a little tired but not zonked, and I can get everything I need to get done today done, and then crawl under the covers and read for a bit later.
After coffee. And sunrise. I am opposed to housework before sunrise.
ION, if I had a job and some money, I would totally get this and wear the crap out of it. [link]
I have one dress from this company I bought for a wedding, and it fits like a dream. They really cut to flatter a curvy body.
Sorry no sleeping, you guys! I went to sleep at a reasonable time and woke up a half hour early, which is OK, I guess.
