"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, I buy serious ass paper shredders, because I am a shredding lunatic. I went through, like, five in the seven years we`ve been a company. But I shred lots of personal stuff, too. I`ll shred anything that has our address or any personal info, and I sometimes shred stuff that doesn`t but indicates our proclivities, so you can imagine how I feel about facebook levels of personal info.

And yeah, as far as I`m concerned, cross cut is worth the money. It is not that hard to reassemble a straight cut. And I buy shredder oil too. It helps.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I've reassembled straight-cut stuff myself, so. Which is why I shake up the bag! Anyway, the identity theft I've been a victim of didn't come from my trash, so I kind of figure what am I going to do?

And I don't worry about stuff with just my address -- I have a listed phone number!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I am totally scattershot about privacy, but I do like shredding things, so I got a moderate ass one that will shred CDs and credit cards. Mostly because shredding CDs and credit cards is fun. Bzzzzzzt!

In my usual uber-cluttery path to decluttering, I have started my paper management process by bring in my portable file box thingy from the shed - it's full of ancient stuff that I'm sure i can toss most of, and once I've emptied it I think it will help with more recent stuff to be able to wheel the files over to the pile to be sorted rather than my usual sorting into multiple piles that then have to be filed. I do think it's going to be a good move over all, but I am amused that my first step is to introduce more paper into the system.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Found out recently that my bar association records are public, so my address and cell phone number are on a million sites right now. Stupid aggregator sites list all lawyers in an area as experts on DUI/Divorce/Immigration/god knows what.

I shred bills, pre-populated credit card applications, and ancient paperwork I no longer need. I suspect I'll find some stuff to shred when I excavate what's stored under my bed, which I'll probably do during the next Hoarders marathon.

You know what I'm sick of? Coughing. I feel fine, and am not coughing a LOT, so why can't I just get rid of it altogether??

Mostly I just feel like I blew it.

Burrell, luckily you get a chance to try again. I mean I fee like I blew it on a regular basis, but then I often get the chance to try again.

oh man I am fucking exhausted.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I haven't changed the batteries in my watches in so long I forgot a) the one watch ran on three batteries b) I have three watches. But that's done! No more excuses.

No skirt alteration though. That was too much. I'm done for the day, and back horizontal.

Also only bought one art book, which was a pretty big accomplishment. I have a sad addiction.

I meant to go to the salon today, but it was rainy and cold, and I'm still doing laundry and trying to decide if I'm keeping the leather jacket I ordered. Not to mention the kitchen and bathroom need cleaning.
