Mac had blood drawn yesterday and the dr. just called me - some results are not in normal range and he wants the tests re-done. Good thoughts for a second draw to be smooth with mac and also for this to be nothing medically wrong.

Up at 6:30 with a frisky Avon. Tried supervised free play this morning with Kripkat but that ended after about 40 mins when KK tried to give Avon a piece of his mind. Now locked in office with frisky kitten.
Blood-ma, msbelle!
(That sounds...odd.)
Here's hoping mac has normal numbers next time, msbelle.
The baby slept badly last night (stuffy nose) so I slept badly last night. She started sobbing at 1 a.m. last night and the only thing that seemed to make her happy was going down to the playroom, where we played until about 2. Blessings on the Turks for inventing coffee.
Now locked in office with frisky kitten.
that does not sound like the recipe for a good morning.
All kinds of bloodwork~ma, msbelle.
It's pouring like it's build-an-ark time here. Blech.
Good luck to you both, msbelle!
OK, I kind of love how provincial Boston is. The headline on boston.com is: "Tony Curtis, portrayed 'Boston Strangler,' dies." I don't know if you all have heard the old joke, but it is that the Globe headline would read, "Hub man dies in nuclear blast," and it's so true.
Drat. The nanny just called to say the basement is flooding. The sump pump isn't working and I'll be damned if I know who to call. She's trying her brother, who is a handyman.
Well, Seth Green has done Utah no favors
A story that Utah had passed a law making accidental miscarriage the equivalent of homicide went viral in the afternoon and rocketed across the Webosphere. About 1:45 p.m., @Seth Green on Twitter offered this “news” to his followers: “Utah rules accidental miscarriage= Criminal homicide?” He linked to an item on the blog Daily Kos.
Unfortunately, this is the old news from last spring. I'm sure lots of folks remember the outcry. I'm not sure why Seth decided to throw it out as current news.
It took a couple of hours for a semblance of reason to prevail. At 3:06, Green praised his followers for their effective online activism, as if they had stopped the law in its tracks: “GOOD NEWS!! Keep your voice heard RT @scoaster90: Utah HB 12 was [thankfully] vetoed by the state’s governor on 3/8/2010.”
At least he corrected it.
Utah's got enough stupidity going on that you don't need digging in the old news.
Oh, Sparky, that's drama.
I am eating breakfast, up an hour early because I have so much to do today....only to be pre-dawn awakened by not ONLY the trash truck and crazy yelling people next door, but by the sound of a smoke detector doing it's "I NEED A NEW BATTERY NOW! ...NOW! ...NOW!" thing. Only it's the one smoke detector that someone on CRACK placed in this house, in my roommate's room, on the highest part of his ceiling--probably 16' up.
I have no very tall ladder--even standing on my tall barstool, I could only poke at it with the end of a broom.
I do not have time today to go to Home Depot and buy a very tall ladder...and I don't want to be distracted all day by the loud sound.
