Natter 66: Get Your Kicks.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, pandas, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Yeah, and employers are looking for a cheap, not long term, way out, from the things I am hearing.
It isn't hot here, barely 72, but the humidity is like whoa (94%.) I wish I'd closed the house up this morning, but I didn't. Fans help, but I may turn the bedroom ac back on to sleep tonight. I don't like sticking to my sheets, no matter how cool.
Amazing how little I accomplished today. /not proud
Theo, perhaps you had more brain than they wanted? If you think for yourself it's seen as a drawback for some workplaces... Good luck finding something good!
Aw, Theo, I'm sorry. That job would'a sucked, anyway!
ita, doesn't your dr. have an answering service or a cell phone number on their voice mail?
I am SO not one to abuse that kind of stuff, but were I you, I would totes be ringin' that bell.
Hell, gimme your doc's office and Ima do it for you.
California-istas might appreciate some pictures of coolness in Autumn:

Theo, that sucks, I'm sorry. I hope something comes through.
It's still pretty hot here, although cooling. I'm trying to decide if I should suck it up and just get a milkshake for dinner. I've lived around the corner from this burger place for a decade and never gone in, but they have milkshakes and it's kind of milkshake weather.
doesn't your dr. have an answering service or a cell phone number on their voice mail?
Oh, to have his number! No, I'm totally insulated from him. They only give out the front desk and the assistant's number. I thought I was special because I had her email address, but not much use.
Man, and I just saw him last week. But I refill this every week--and he writes for 2-4 weeks each time, and the details on the meds label don't accurately reflect whether I can refill or not. It makes it very hard to do other than last-minute refills.
I am pro-milkshake.
Great. Flea-dipped the dog this weekend, and I just found three fleas on Cosmo.
Have to wait til payday, but all the animals are getting treatments, and the furniture sprayed. and vaccuumed. Thank god we have wooden floors and only two cloth couches.
Cats are banned from bedroom, and I will wash all the bedding tomorrow. Le sigh.
Ah, well. It's better than working at the shelter and getting lice twice. I haven't seen any fleas off animals, so those preventative measures should be ok.
I still am totally reaction-itching now.
has anyone seen the commercial for those little disposable shoes? anyone know who makes them and where i can find them? google is giving me no love.
Lord, ita, can you MENTION this horrid predicament to him? It's hardly the first time it's happened, and it's ridic -- your meds are PRN, right?
Sometimes I long for the days of apothecaries, when you could just stroll in and get whatever. Of course, whatever was usually not that effective, unless it was laudanum, but...
