There's a company based in Brooklyn that makes vegan Mallomars. I was all excited, and found a place to buy them, and bought one, saved it for a special occaision, and then was sorely disappointed when it was way too much marshmallow and not enough chocolate, and the cracker part was soggy.

Where is Steph?? I have to share something posted to Facebook by an NYC friend:
Ahh one of the surest signs that Fall is here: Mallomars back in the grocery stores.
THAT'S RIGHT.
Ahahahaha!!!
Maybe stay inside, away from windows...
Oddly enough, I am staying inside and reading War and Peace.
That's scary, megan.
In other news about food, I made this chicken stew thing last week with thighs, and I'm eating more of it now, and all I can think is that I really don't like chicken thighs so much. Ah well.
omg y'all. on my way to pulling up another 13 gallon bag of sandburrs from just one half of the front lawn, and that still will not be all of them. This is going to many years of fight. AT least no ant bites this time. At least not yet.
Also vacuumed the whole house. The dyson we have had on loan needs to go back next week. I have ordered new hoses for the hand-me down dyson we got, hopefully they'll get here soon. I love my other vacuum, but it is clear that the dysons get the cat hair better. 2 canisters full from 3 rooms, 1 hall, and an area rug.
I am SO glad I don't have carpet. It was insane when I had one short-haired in an apartment with carpet; I can't imagine 4 cats and a dog. UGH.
David, I ran many of my friends, and only found two, but hey! Money is money. Bottle of wine, a fine cocktail, pair of tights.
And in my case, gas or grocery money.
This has been the nicest weekend I have had in a while, yet I only did wholesome things like housework and exercise. Not even a glass of wine, but dear god, getting good sleep has made mopping the floor into some Cinderella-esque singing birds montage.
I'm back home from visiting my BFF. Now we're getting a drenching rain—the first rain in nearly a month—and it's cool enough to have all the windows open. I'm baking my first apple pie of the fall using apples I picked up at a roadside stand. In between the scent of the rain and the baking pie, my apartment smells wonderful.
That's scary, megan.
I know, War and Peace is really long.
This is going to many years of fight.
Napalm?
Another weekend successfully avoiding opening the garage to check for rats. Sigh.
