ita, that woman sounded smart to me.

I wonder if you could hire some sort of part-time medical advocate to come with you on trips to the ER, so they could help with the negotiations when you're not at your best.

Mmmm, Lambrusco, wine of my college days.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

My go-to red for the last several years has been Louis Jadot's Beaujolais Villages; it's about $12 nowadays (it held at $8 from about 1995 to 2004 *sob*).

It's not fancy, but it's consistently decent, if one is on a tight budget.

Best wine I ever had was an Amarone, don't know what kind, and for my 40th bday, damn sure I am going to spring for a bottle. It's at least $35 though, although I have seen half bottles of it.

According to the reporter below my window, they are not releasing any details but apparently 1 civilian and 1 officer are down.

For $25 bottle of red, I'd go to a halfway decent wine store (even Whole Foods would do) and ask the advice of the wine person. S/he'd probably be thrilled, since my impression is that most wine drinkers are $10 a bottle cheapskates like me.

I am not wild about the age 4 right now. Dillo pooped twice and peed once in his pants today. Yesterday he both bit and hit our neighbor (who was teasing him, but still). Since he started Pre-K he's definitely gotten more wild at home and at school. His teacher talked to us about his behavior Friday morning. He's sort of discovered the glee in great naughtiness after years of being meek and biddable. He's also SUPER-POUTY. What a sulker. I know which parent he gets that from! (Not me - I have a hot temper - fast up, fast down.)

Existing Cat has hissed at the door to New Cat's prison. New Cat got to come out and explore while Existing Cat was asleep upstairs, but this coming week we'll need to keep 'em separated a lot while we're at work.

I had a stunningly good bottle of white wine at a restaurant in Florence in 1993. I have no idea what it was, but it wasn't very expensive, since I was in college at the time.

Ugh, megan, that is too close. Also, officer down is very bad.

Yeah, after living in an apt where the kitchen window had a bullet hole, I tend to not want shooting across the way.

On the upside, due to wanting to keep an eye on things, all my farmers' market fruits and veggies for the week are prepped and put away.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Yikes. There were shootings near my house but never right in front of it. I know that nervous "must keep an eye on things" feeling, though. I hope those shot pull through.

I hope those shot pull through.

Given that the medical examiner's van is now parked outside, I'm thinking someone didn't.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I watched a drug-related exchange of gunfire from the front window of my last apartment. I don't miss that place.
