I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Screw-tops are on both respectable and bleagh wines. The difference is that screw-top should no longer automatically mean "yucky wine". Many vintners believe the screw-top is better for the wine than cork.

And, yes, those artificial corks are not biodegradable. I have asked a wine company if they take them back and I believe the "cork" manufacturer said they were setting up a program but I've heard nothing more of it.

Wine. woot. com has some deals and their forum there is actually chock full of oenophiles who can tell you what the wine and vineyard are like.

Car breakdown could have been so much worse than it was but it really took a pretty good day and made it crappy. I'm tired & cranky. I could really use a strawberry daiquiri right now but no one delivers.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

It was SO CHEAP in Prague in the 90s, we drank it like water, as we did many alcohols.

sobs and sobs

Tokaji is one of my favorites.

I think you can still get affordable tokaji at Trader Joe's but not the ones with many puttonyos.

Really? Hmmmm.

I have an unopened bottle of Tokaji in my wine cabinet, which I am saving for my birthday this year.

It was even cheaper in Hungary. And then I came stateside. I think I've had Tokaji twice since 1996.

I prefer dry white wine, but that is just so nice.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Re: Katy Perry's boobs

I don't think its the end of the world but it does seem a little inapprope for Sesame Street. I'd hate to see it happening all the time.

I tend to be a fan of the sweet wines so I end up seeing some Tokaji when in that section. It's not $5 cheap, but I seem to recall a range from $10 - $20 depending on how many puttonyos.

I suspect you bought this entirely because of the name.

The first time I bought it was due to whimsy, yes.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Katy Perry's boobs

I just watched the video and had it not been made in to such a Thing I wouldn't have even noticed.

I know almost nothing about wine. I'm intrigued by the Plungerhead I was given a couple of weeks ago, but that's mostly about the name and label.
