this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Does anyone know if the Paraguard has the same effect? I'd prefer to go hormone-free if I can. (Hormonal BC makes me...hormonal.)

I think it has the opposite effect and makes periods heavier. (In general, that is. Obviously not for every woman who's ever had one.)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

(And sorry Natterinos, this conversation is getting a little Bitchy, isn't it?)

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Hormonal BC makes me a RAGING LUNATIC. But the Mirena's been fine.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I'll stand up for the Nuvaring. Hasn't eliminated my periods, but they are much easier than before. Best part is they have come close to eliminating my crazy migraines. Kinda like my periods - they haven't gone away entirely, but are much more manageable.

eta - 'before' makes so much more sense than 'better'.

Librarian Warlord

One of the grad students who works for us got married a couple of weeks ago and she just sent around her pictures. She's a lovely 22 year old who, because of the heavy-handed make-up job on her wedding day, looks 20 years older. I'll need to arrange my own face very carefully when I tell her how much I enjoyed seeing them.

Also, her dress was huge (in addition to being 22 years old, she's also about 22 lbs) and no one in the pictures could get too close without leaning in.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Perkins' college friend beats me, but my sister and I are a year and 5 days apart.

I second this.

Yikes.

I'll be doing a test with my friend doing my makeup. The plan is for something like this:

Nuvaring was OK. Since it'll be at least 2 years if ever before we try for another kid, I'd prefer an IUD (completely brainless - it goes in, it stays there).

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh yeah, I loved the Nuvaring, and skipped plenty of periods on it!
