"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I know it's the right thing to give it up so someone else can travel, but why would the airline care if the money was the same?

They oversold the flight, it was for their convenience.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

So, were they meat-meatballs or vegan meatballs?

They were meat-meatballs. A big ole Walmart bag of 'em in the crockpot with some tomato sauce.

Also, lentils. (in a different pot)

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Was it in first class? I'm assuming yes, because Kevin Smith, but seems like they wouldn't want to piss off the high dollar customers. The riff raff back where the rest of us sit, yeah, kick our asses out the door.

I guess I should focus on 'he could fly' because I'm not as anywhere near Kevin Smith size so ---check that off my ruminating list.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Didn't they tell him it was because he was too big? I thought I remembered that about the kerfuffle.

I thought that was what he was tweeting or blogging or something. He said it was because he was too big. That story must have changed.

I broke down and called with 10 minutes to go. He will be here in another 20 minutes. I totally had time for that bath. I'm not going to take one now, even with the extra time, just to punish him.

It was Southwest so no classes.

Wasn't any kind of company policy but a misstep on part of the gate staff.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have a long weekend booked away! I'm so excited! And my boss asked if I didn't want to take any time off before then...

Sadly, I need to take an extra day off so I can go to the ER when I come back, but I guess I just need to factor that in from now on. I haven't seen this friend in a gazillion years, and I've been remiss in keeping in touch, so this is long overdue.

Yay for fun, long weekend!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Kevin Smith tweeted that whole ordeal in excruciating detail. I had to unfollow him. He said he's bought two tickets for the first leg of the flight because his wife had meant to join him, but then she didn't. On the second leg of the flight, he was sitting next to an older lady, who told him he was fine, and had already buckled the seat belt when the captain came and told him he had to get off the plane. They threw a heavyset young woman off the same flight. Humiliating, and totally without justification.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I think I might be old enough that I am wondering if that means they think I am immature?

Well, you were making jokes in LolCat speak for a year and they didn't know what you were referencing.

The Steve Buscemi comment was surely ironic, but let's not forget his first major role was as the Prettyboy Cool Gay Guy in Parting Glances.
