Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

When are you due?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Right? Where are my nanobots? And I would have clean things if Some People in this house wouldn`t insist on using them all the time, eating and wearing clothes and stuff just constantly. It`s ridiculous.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, man. Today's nurse was so good. She got me out of the hospital in time for me to be home for the 6am conference call. And she was completely fascinating conversationally, even though she was a bit of a wuss about getting a line in.

And no more work calls until 11! Whoot.

It was that kind of nap. That couch is awesome.

It is, kinda. Best TV commercial-inspired purchase ever.

Hopefully this is it (cue Huey Lewis and the News voice), Drew.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

When are you due?

Dec 31. And since D was born in the summer, there are some things I really do need, but seriously, newborn babies just do not wear that many clothes. (I went yard-saleing today and came back with at least 5 pink fleece buntings. This is too many. I know this. And yet, there they are.)

Because books.

Jessica, Sara was born on Nov. 29, so the stuff I have to send to you should be exactly right, size and season-wise. There's not much, but there's some!

Dec 31.

Fun! And I can't believe there is such a thing as too many pink fleece buntings.

The status is NOT quo.

Yay for good nurses, ita! They make such a difference.

Of course it is! Just not, you know, golf-ball size.

Heh. Yes. Praise the gods, not that big.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Hey, one that big would have gotten him on TV!

Glad to hear they were able to do something concrete to improve Drew's condition. I'm surprised they didn't schedule the ERCP much earlier during his previous hospitalization - Mom and Dad both had theirs within 4 days of admission this summer, and I know in Dad's case the CAT scan wasn't even able to find his gall bladder, let alone the stone.

I'm so glad to hear Drew is doing better. Yay for modern medicine!

I went to a very cool play last night, and ended up in the front row, so I got to stare at Mandy Patinkin being crazy-obsessive for a couple of hours.

Now I must vacuum and write and make cake frosting, and go to my Dad's birthday party. Oh, and buy a gift! Argh! So much for writing. Maybe later.

Have a lovely Sunday, all.

Our wings are not tired.

I am so relieved to hear the source of Drew's troubles has been identified and removed! Such a huge frakking relief!! Yay for road to recovery and having it be something that is GONE and not a chronic condition!!!

Today is my Clean All The Things Day, most especially my home office. I have what might be the beginnings of a cold, which, this would so NOT be the week to get, and also an engine light AND oil light both bright on my dashboard since last night. I just got an oil change and major tune up 3 weeks ago, so I am hoping it's just a Forester being a typical "Senstive Subaru" in regards to the light. Oh please please please.

I am off to Philly Tuesday-Sunday (work conference) and have no idea what to pack (I am terrible at weather forecast meaning anything to me). Hey you Philly peeps: what's the weather like? Summer? Fall??
