I hope you don't think that I just come over for the spells and everything. I mean, I really like just talking and hanging out with you and stuff.

hip deep in pie

Drew totally deserves a break. C'mon universe!!!

Okay, some muscle relaxants and a hot bath sem to have staved off a headache. My sister, who is here until tomorrow, is out for supper. What should I do with my evening.

I also went to my very first estate auction this morning. I impulse bought two watercolours (in one lot) but I realized when I got them home, they're painting of the same thing! I like the both, they're just the same scene. I really wanted the vintage Xmas ornaments, but those lots didn't come up by the time I agreed to leave. Kind of wishing I told my sis to leave and stayed there until they came up. Anyway, it was so much fun! I'm totally going to go when they're in town...just for the entertainment value.

brillig

I miss estate auctions. They happen all the time back east, but not so much in Utah.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Had a great swim today; just as I was finishing up, a great blue heron quietly flapped overhead, skimmed the water, and landed at the shoreline. Gorgeous. Although it did make me glad I hadn`t transported my froglets from my garden pond as I`ve thought about. It seems like they`re metamorphosing and departing for err, greener water just fine without my assistance. Nature, whaddya know.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have no real interest in cooking most of the food I have in the house. But I am apparently ready for fall -- for dinner, I already ate an apple with some peanut butter, and I am currently roasting some potatoes. Mmmm.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

So, my chicken fell off of the bone. I am currently boiling potatoes to make mashed potatoes. I will use the drippings to make gravy, which I will then pour over the mashed potatoes. I am psyched.
