brenda, you are evil, cause now I wish I hadn't finished off Ben's strawberry rhubarb crisp last night.

It's that kind of show.

Hell yeah. Possibly not the best tonight.

Yes, well, I just got the email from my CSA and am getting more rhubarb tomorrow.

Just sayin'.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Weird. I've never NOT brought a gift to a wedding reception, even if it was just cash. I think I'm going with the honeymoon fund contribution ahead of time and bring a card to the reception to hedge my bets.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

brenda, that sounds seriously yummy.

I need a new fandom that has a lot of long, piney fic.

Sophia, if you watch NCIS, and keep in mind I'm not a fan of slash in my NCIS fic, I really recommend Enthusiastic Fish and Emerald for long angsty fic, most of which feature McGee as the primary character. EF has loads of 25-30 chapter stories, and even though Emerald only has a few stories, they are all really good (I especially love "Echoes of Goodbye," which has a terrifically written Fornell).

OMG, Kalinda on The Good Wife is just so awesome insane.

Hee. I didn't get much sleep last night and have to get up early tomorrow to fly to Portland. So I thought "hmm, is Glee on at 8PM or 9PM? If at 8, I'll stay up and watch it, but at 9, maybe I'll go to bed early...". And I went to my TiVo to see when...and saw Good Wife is on tonight (I'm so disconnected) and went "Aw, dang, now I want to stay up to watch THAT, but it's not on until 10pm!!"

I've never NOT brought a gift to a wedding reception, even if it was just cash

Yeah, I mean, I usually do too, and there's normally plenty of other gifts and cards there--it's totally common these days. I'm just saying TECHNICALLY the "proper" manners thing is to not bring it to the wedding so that they don't have to figure out someone to guard things and bring them somewhere and so on (even though these days, so many people do that they have to anyway) But who knows the bride's parents' address anyway, and if you sent something there, half the people I know would go "Um, why are you sending this here???"

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Wonkette amused me with their endless Sestak/Sleestak/Land of the Lost/Lost finale jokes....
