I am tangentially geek adjacent and because of the stuff I have picked up, the non-you people in my life mistakenly think I am a geek in the sci-fi fantasy vein.
There was an LJ quiz a while back to find out how geeky/nerdy you are, and I came up as 50% nerd. The description of this said "You are invaluable, because you can translate between nerds and management. 'Tell the computer geeks we need to make the system faster.' 'The captain says we need more speed from the engines.' 'Och, the dilithium crystals canna take it!' 'He says they need better servers.'"

I just spent half an hour at Geek 2 Geek and I'm very excited - the people there seem like my people!

Damnit, missed FNL again! But for a good cause. Neighbor had her sisters and a friend over and they were dudding up for the local Love (Hate?) the 80s night, so beer and pizza and a whole lot of laughing. One year I'll go, but I have enough this weekend. Anyway, their outfits were AWESOME. And their hair was high and crimped.
Watching the sisters interact was funny. Actually, they all were, the friend was a high school friend (they are all locals.) It's a family of 6 girls.
Does anyone else think that it's a little ominous or something that the two hosts of the National Memorial Day Concert are Gary Sinise and Joe Mantegna? They are fake cops, not even fake military! I mean, currently.

I was excited my therapist gave me HOMEWORK today. I got THERAPY WORKSHEETS and was genuinely happy.
And cited specifically titled Buffy episodes on said worksheets as depression cycle behavioral distractors.
And they were "The Body" and "OMWF."
That's fucked up. Those episodes CHEER me up.
