You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Why oh why can't I be at Allyson's book release?

Seriously!

I'll send you a gift bag.

I like the fondant bat idea. I can do white chocolate ganache, dip the cupcakes in it, and then put the fondant bats on top. Whoot!

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

amyth and I stopped there once several years ago, not knowing, and we're still scarred.

I was just looking through my flickr account from 2006/2007 to see if I had photographic evidence, but I couldn't find any. I may have been too traumatized to take pictures. It's probably just as well.

We're pretty sure Corb Lund stumbled in there by accident just a couple of weeks ago, if his Twitter/Facebook updates are anything to go by.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I took lots of pictures and they're in flickr, but I set them to private b/c I was afraid of someone thinking that my pictures indicated approval instead of abject horror. To unlock them I'd have to reup my Pro account, maybe I should do that...

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Spam Readings. Some people might get a kick out of this: my friend Jonathan reads his spam e-mail very dramatically.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Bon voyage, Perkins! Happy book launch, Allyson!

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Okay, SFO has a dim sum place right by my gate that was open at 8:30. Ridiculously expensive, but I had bao. BAO! I haven't had bao since we moved.

I also had an empty seat next to me on the way here. Fingers crossed it happens again on my next flight. Which is in...two hours.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

mmm, bao.

What are people doing this weekend?

Amy - Sep 10, 2010 6:59:06 am PDT #23245 of 30001
Because books.

Someone needs to give me a primer on not-too-spicy Thai food I could try. We have at least four Thai places in town.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

This weekend depends on how I feel. Currently I feel like crap. But if it perks up, book signing and ice cream tasting.
