I called a guy to follow up on a high priority email I sent this morning, and he says he was about to answer it, but he was waiting on his inbox to fire up. And he'd been waiting for an hour. But maybe he'd cancel and try again.
AN HOUR? And you need me to call and prompt you to get bored with it? He knows I need action today and we've been waiting on him for almost two weeks. Oy.
And now I'm in a phone meeting to which I have no idea why I was invited. And because of which I decided to work the rest of the day at home because I couldn't make it into the office before it started. So silly.
Don't be afraid of my frank analysis, think of it as personality dialysis!
Ah! I didn't catch all of that line, but I was amused nonetheless.
Poop. Pools are closed on account of the storm watch. Guess I'll make my TJs run instead. God it's hot. Walk to and from the Y and I am soaked.

I had to re-paginate our small journal (80 pages) not once, but TWICE, today. (Someone decided at the last minute to delete an 8-page appendix because it was a reprint for which the authors did not have permission. But then after I took those 8 pages out and re-paginated everything, Big!Boss decided to drop 9 more pages of appendices [from 2 articles], deciding they should be available only online in PDF form. So I took them out and RE-repaginated. Ye gods.)
It is, however, now in the hands of the printer and out of my hair.
Reason # 8544 why I love the Buffistas:
Prodigious use of the word "paginated".

It's what I do for a living, sadly.

Quick, what's Reason #2012?
I took a half-day off work so I could run a few errands and then get to campus in time to finish off my homework. Well, while dropping off my cross-stitch pieces to be pressed at the dry cleaners, I noticed a poster for a fundraiser at the local library--it's Smartypants Trivia Night!
Would any of the Chicagoistas like to join me on a team? We could have a fun night! It's on June 19, $25/person for food and soda, a cash bar, and you're contributing to a very good cause (the Oak Park Public Library). Email me at my profile addy and let me know (deadline for team registration is June 17).
