Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Kitty health update: The vet thinks the hair loss and yowling might be allergies, but they took blood tests just to be sure it isn't his thyroid. They said that he was a very good patient for a cat--he struggled but was never aggressive in any way. $185 later, we are home and now I clean up like a mofo before I pick up my DH from the airport.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I think sex-as-reward also implies that having sex is a chore, and a rather unpleasant one at that: "You do these unpleasant household tasks for me, and in return I'll have sex with you."

Did anyone imply that this was going on in any Buffista household?

I have actually said, in response to The Boy doing something I consider odious or difficult, "Oh my god, you are SO getting laid tonight!" But it wasn't dangled as a reward ahead of time. I tend to not think sex is worth much as a bargaining chip as long as he has the Internet and use of his hands.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have a pretty picture question.

I only just noticed that all these pics seem to be on the same set:

But I don't have a Nathan Fillion one! Does anyone know if they exist?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Fillion thinks he's too good for a cast photo shoot.

My day is going quite well! Went out to lunch, came back for more free ice cream, and then had an excellent chat with a coworker, who I like more and more.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

My day isn't bad, it's just slow, which means I have time to fret.
