This is my boat. They're part of my crew. No one's getting left. Best you get used to that.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Whoa, I Tivoed Synecdoche, New York and Emily Watson's got an unexpected nude scene in it. And she's got an amazing body. Very full and lush and womanly. Not a boob-job/Maxim body but sexy and human.

Oh man, that was a brilliant movie. I'd be curious to hear your take on it, given how polarizing it tends to be. (My BAFTA friends barely made it through the whole screening and declared it to be the worst movie they'd ever seen. I *loved* it.)

Also, one of my neighbors did sound for it. Anytime you can hear the actors talking and don't see a boom in the shot, thank Jeanne!

Coding and Sleeping

House GOP would be deciding who counts as a "regular American".

It appears to be a free-for-all. Which means this site can be throughly abused to pull quotes from "An official GOP website" for pretty much any crackpot idea the Internet can cough up.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Such excellent news about Noah's fever! And funny Gracie, feeling better after getting shed of all that...effluvia. Poor Kat, though, on cleanup detail. I am glad the DMV and doctor stuff has worked out more do-ably.

"I am an EVIL giraffe, and I shall eat more leaves from this tree than perhaps I should, so that other giraffes may die!"

I...had no idea a giraffe could sound so like Eddie Izzard.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Someone just effusively complimented my tin lunchbox and then in the next beat complained that he couldn't get his kids to carry one. Hmmph. I wonder what he carries his lunch to work in. No need to live vicariously.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Just heard from my close family friends in Kingston that they are well and safe.

I think we should schedule the next violent political turmoil for someplace nobody lives. The moon is nice this time of year, I hear.
