GRRRRRR. Now I check my email and find my boss sending me a bunch of requests for shit...from my visit today...that she didn't send until about 5pm. Dude. WTF? No, that's not helpful, and no, I can't specially review those things, and no, I can't make you copies of those super important documents. I had already left the place, and was supposed to be boarding a flight.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh Suzi. I agree with everyone, he's a douchenozzle. I just wish that fact made the pain of his betrayal go away.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, meara -- I hope you made it home, finally!

Sounds like a good visit, sara. And I hear you about keeping in touch. I'm terrible about being in contact with my father's side of the family, and regret it already.

sara, I'm glad you got to spend time with Carol.

meara, your travels sound like travails. Hope you at least get to sleep in today.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

He changed his voicemail to say "Dr. Asshole", he had medical books lying around his apartment when she came over, he would tell her every December and May that he had exams so he wouldn't see her for a while

At some point, you have to wonder if it wouldn't have been easier just to apply to med school...

CONGRATULATIONS, ita!! Way to job!

Awesome t-shirts for twins: [link]

tommyrot, I'm in the middle of making shirts like these. I'm looking for the open apple icon, to be extra nerdy. Though mine, of course, are not identical, so it seems a little stupid.

I have just finished two shirts that say Frick and Frack.

Our wings are not tired.

Woo Hoo for permanent ita! Here's hoping you feel better so that you can enjoy it properly.

It was lovely to read about your visit with family, sarameg. I also have tons of family that I just don't see enough. People I really like and enjoy, and never see.

I really don't get constructing an intricate falsehood like that.

My (close family member) found out after being married for a while and having a child that every single thing he thought he knew about his wife was a fabrication. They had hit a bad financial stretch and he asked if maybe they could ask her parents for a bit of cash since her father was a doctor and her mother owned a grocery store. She broke down and admitted she didn't even know her father and that her mother worked in a grocery store. He had known her for a decade and didn't have a clue. It was huge because she had thrown her 'status' in his face forever. He only stayed with her because he is a dedicated father.

After time I know that it was a matter of her being hugely insecure as a young woman and then she didn't know how to undo the lies. She has grown as a person and I don't despise her anymore, but I can't say I totally trust her either. The part that kills me the most is that over the years her mother has learned more English and I have spoken with her at family events and found her to be a wonderful person. Her lies to her husband and the rest of the family and friends was bad enough, but she dishonored her mother by fabricating her family history. Her mother was a hard working immigrant that worked hard all her life to give her daughter a better life. (yeah, I guess I still haven't forgiven her)

Also, why is it only Wednesday?

That is an excellent question. By all rights it ought to be Friday or Saturday by now.

heh.

This week is completely long. It's like two weeks mushed into one. Does July have an extra week or something?
