Hee.
At times my cat will do the loose leash walking thing and is better than MANY dogs. Other times, she is just too tentative and fearful - and she will walk right up to the front door eager to be back inside.
Of course, she is not my escape artist. That's the one that ran away from home.

Hopefully her parents didn't actually let her watch
Kick Ass....
Have people seen the video (or animated .gif) of a turtle's unsuccessful escape from a kiddie pool? Here that video has been edited for comic effect: Qui-Gon Jinn is a Jerk
An awesome painting:
Chewbacca Fighting Nazis While Riding a Giant Squirrel
The specific details in this painting by deviantART user gamefan84 were actually commissioned. Which is awesome!
I walk my cat on a leash daily, when weather allows. It helps that my apartment complex is in a bit of a cul-de-sac, surrounded by lawn, shrubs, trees, and a couple of ditches. (Few dog worries.) I guess the cat has to want to be out and about badly enough to put up with the leash. It took a few sessions before Leifur was comfortable with the leash and harness. While he doesn't like the process of getting hooked up, he's pretty happy to amble along once everything's fastened. He climbs small trees, chases--for 6 feet--birds and bunnies, and has a fine ol' time exploring the apartment complex grounds.
Not sure if this has been posted....
The Case for Believing in Unicorns
Is today still Tuesday? It feels like it should be at least Thursday.
I saw a little girl walking behind Pacey wearing a long pink dress, a pink boa, and a pink Darth Vader helmet. Very cute.
We once had a cat we tried putting on a leash so she could go out - she WANTED OUT in the worst possible way, but had no sense of direction. I put her in her little harness, clipped on the leash, then tied one end of a rope to the leash handle and the other end to the porch railing. In about five minutes she'd wound the rope and leash around various pieces of lawn furniture and bushes and ended up pinned upright against (if I remember correctly) the rosemary bush, with no idea how to get unwound. I unwound her, she did it again. Not one of the better ideas.
And, from Neatorama, for the goth geek.
