Perkins, I love my slow cooker. A few features that are important to me:
1. I got the big one. Even being single, I can fit big things and freeze stuff.
2. Oval. Fits roasts and chickens better.
3. The crock needs to be removable for easy washing.
4. I adore the crock pot liners. I put one in and can just throw it away for even easier clean up.
5. A timer. Lets me put it on high for 8 or 10 hours or low for 4 or 6 hours.
This is the one I have: [link]
I agree with everything ChiKat says above. I have a similar Crock-Pot model. I can't imagine using a smaller one, since just making a couple of quarts of stock takes up the whole thing.
Also, I wish I had discovered the liners earlier. Definitely get those.
I've been watching on the NBC site.
Thanks guys!
I think I was wrong about Pacey's shirt-- it looks to hae fold like it was right out of the package! Not a real Pacey Shirt!

Yes, get the big one. I had the silly thought that since I was single I should get the smaller one. I am constantly frustrated by the lack of size (that's what she said!)
You can also make delicious desserts in crock pots, and in the wintertime, lots of mulled wine or cider for shindigs.
I could use a shindig. And some mellow song stylings.
