I think the "double the life" part was that it's pillow-top (or whatever) on both sides. Like, you can rotate a pillow-top mattress, but flipping it over defeats the point.
For the money ( sale right now) that was one hell of a car...and this is coming from someone that doesn't really car about cars.
This. My last car was a Passat too, and before that a Golf. Both totally spoiled me for normal cars. I did try out a couple of Jettas that were more in my price range but once I had the 3L V6 there was no going back.
250 HP on this thing, out of this world sound system and a trunk you can hide bodies in. What more could a girl want?
I did end up spending more than I wanted to, but it is a lot of car for the money. And warrantied all to hell and back, which was a not inconsiderable part of the cost.
Raise your hand if you knew that 'frying' Fage Greek yogurt yields paneer curds?
I did not. And to be fair, the frying was accidental. I was meaning to make mushroom gravy without any actual milk. And too high heat.
In the end, some brown rice flour, olive oil, sliced mushrooms, red peppers from the freezer and spices made a lovely side dish.
I'm in an EAT BIG mood, but you know...a billion degrees out...so I pan fried some chicken tenderloins battered with egg and the aforementioned rice flour. So, so good.
The original plan, steamed rice was on the menu, but the mushroom concoction proved completely satisfying.
Huh.
I've found nine times out of ten I'm happier to just add more veggies and skip the rice. Better for you anyway.
I get it Jesse! I was not reading that right.
Someone on my facebook posted a video of a really old (19 year old) therapy dog who could no longer walk and was wheeled into dying patients rooms on a little red wagon, and put in bed with them, and the person died holding the dog, who was licking their face. This was set to the tune of Sarah MacLachlan's "Arms of an Angel". I am now a blubbery mess, because the doggie is going to die soon too, and who will get in bed with him and lick his face?
Oh jebus. I will! I mean, maybe not so much with the licking.
I'm not sure I even want to see that video, given how much I would weep...not from sadness about his imminent passing, but that kind of service, especially from animals, just overwhelms me with a painful kind of joy.
For every story of degradation in the human experience, there is another about grace. Often, about non-human sources.
Bless bless this boy's heart, and the people who keep him. I want to think they know how to comfort him. Brave, beautiful soul.
Oh, god, apparently Joshua Jackson went to Comic Con dressed as Pacey. ♥, big time.
How would one designate a Pacey costume? Didn't Pacey just wear regular clothes?
ION, I love Joshua Jackson!
