That's the thrill of living in the Hellmouth! There's a veritable cornucopia of fiends and devils and ghouls to engage ... Pardon me for finding the glass half-full.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

ND, some do and some don't. It depends upon the carrier, and sometimes you can get a decent gate or ticket agent that ends up helping you out. There's more flexibility with rerouting due to weather than there is in getting hotel or meal vouchers. Those are expressly forbidden in most contracts of carriage.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Now we're projected for an 8:45 departure. I'm concerned that they're going to just cancel the flight. I tried talking to the service desk again, but basically, I'm going from a limited airport to a limited airport. There just aren't enough options.

Trust my rage

Re: the weather in Denver. My car was totally getting pushed around at 85mph on the freeway today. I think being on a plane here would be scary. The floor in my 3rd story office was vibrating today. Also, the airport is on the wide open plains, which I'm sure means it gets hit hard by the wind.

We're, well, 3 hours from Charlotte. But we'd totally put you up if you rented a car and drove here!

Hee. There's a flight leaving for New Orleans from our gate right now. I was tempted to just try and get on that plane and spend the night at my parents' house.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks for the wishes of safety for my family. My fingers are all crossed. The state of emergency is currently scheduled for a month. I can't even imagine.

hip deep in pie

Jeez, ita, I hope all stays well with them.

I think my short hop flight home stole all of Dana's flight mojo. There were only 12 people on the flight, so once we all boarded--15 minutes early--we took off. And we were actually 20 minutes early landing. And since there was so few of us, we all got extra snacks and drinks.

I am safely home and sending the good flight mojo Dana-wards.

There's lots of dirty scandal about how the JA PM didn't want this guy in US hands because he could tattle on our government, and shit like that. So the populace that is riled is really riled on a number of levels. It's sad. But we've always seemed to think that guns solve political disputes. It's chronic. And if you make that a pun, *I* will hunt you down.

that's what you get for messing around with other boards.

You think I'd know, huh? I've been doing this internet thing long enough.

Looks like there's another Denver flight that's scheduled for 8:30. They're currently showing on time. If they leave on time, and my flight is still stuck here, there might be a riot.
