Well, if we followed the recipe...should be cake. A demon-violence-free-zone cake.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

ugh Dana. Any chance they are going to put you up if you are stuck?

We are having blue waffles for dinner - bisquick, oil, and syrup all a wee bit closer to finished.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Will the airline at least put you up if the delay costs you your connecting flight?

Do they operate that way? I mean, I think they should, but I'm still surprised my sister got put up. Turns out, though, that the crew didn't want to fly in at night, so it was totally an airline decision.

Man, I just got chastised for calling a woman on another board dude. Honestly? I count "Dude, t point made here " as a gender-free statement.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

No, it's due to delays in Denver. Delta has actually put me up a couple of times when I didn't think they were obligated to. US Air, not so generous. I supposedly have a discounted code at a hotel, but I'm going to poke around and see what I find.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Honestly? I count "Dude, " as a gender-free statement.

As do I. A similar thing happened to me on LJ a few years ago.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Dude, that's what you get for messing around with other boards.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, Dana. USAir totally screwed me like that one time, and the hotel they "found" for me was crappy, far away, and expensive. I vote poking around.

Short version: US called for an extradition on the basis of drugs and guns charges, our PM said no you obtained your info illegally, then PM said yes, and some of the public went wild. Irrationally, violently, wild.

Yeah, I went and saw. Holy crap. I hope your family stays safe!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Got a decent rate from the coupon place at a Hyatt Summerfield Suites, but as soon as I book it, I'm stuck with it. I'm not yet convinced I'm going to make it out of Charlotte tonight.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Dana, United has been twittering all day on the rough weather in the Denver area causing delays/cancellations.

If your delay will get you to your destination later than 2 hours from your scheduled arrival time, you should be able to force them to endorse your ticket over to another airline.

I'm available if you want to try and figure out a strategy to get you home. I'll send you my #.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm so limited in where I can fly that I doubt it's possible to do anything else now. Maybe a few hours ago, when the flight was first delayed. Basically, I have to get to either Denver or Salt Lake in time to catch a flight out tonight.

Wouldn't hurt to try. It's within your rights as listed in the contract of carriage.
