Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

World’s Strongest Drinks & Strange Liquor

Another wine with supposed medicinal qualities, helping with everything from coughs and colds to liver disorders, is baby mouse wine from Korea (above right). Yes, it really does contain newborn baby mice, which are drowned in rice wine, before the bizarre mixture is stored somewhere dry and dark for up to a year before it is considered drinkable.

Just like baby mouse wine, snake liquors from South East Asia are also considered cures for a variety of ailments, including impotence, back and muscle pain and hair loss (below left). These drinks usually contain highly poisonous snakes, such as cobras...

If snakes aren’t really for you, how about scorpions and spiders? This distilled rice grain vodka from Thailand, complete with a farm raised scorpion, is banana flavoured and sweetened with sugar cane

Jilli should probably avoid this link.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

SHE MADE A BEAR?!?!? UNDO IT!! UNDO IT!!

WHAT AIMS SAID.

My placenta will be disposed of by the hospital as they see fit. If I can wrangle it, I will happily donate any stem cells they can extract, but I really don't want to take any part of it home with me.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Apparently Rob Schnider is in the building today. Huh.

He's very nice. And short. And has an awesome dog. (He lives/d in my nabe.)

Words to live by: advice from 34 science fiction/fantasy authors

This made me laugh:

"Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life." — Sir Terry Pratchett.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

otoh Quinnipiac totally deserved a major smackdown, given that their position was pretty much "we don't need women's sports! They can cheer for the men's sports!"

Totally agree! Cheer should not be established in order to make up for eliminating Volleyball.

But competitive cheer certainly is a sport. Or was when I was in college.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

So if I go down there at one, I should say, "I hear you have an awesome dog"?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aren't speech bubble toys for cats kind of redundant? all the cats I've ever known have been able to let you know what they think just fine.

It's not about the cat expressing itself; it's about me laughing at what I can make the cat "say."

I just had a meeting where we talked about how scary Neil Gaiman is or isn't for various age groups...
