Y'all see the man hanging out of the spaceship with the really big gun? Now I'm not saying you weren't easy to find. It was kinda out of our way, and he didn't want to come in the first place. Man's lookin' to kill some folk. So really it's his will y'all should worry about thwarting.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

In Charlotte, looking at an hour and a half delay to Denver. Which means I will miss my connection in Denver, and the next open flight isn't until tomorrow at 3:10.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Speaking of airline woes, I had to run interference for my sister yesterday because Jamaica has declared a state of emergency and her flight couldn't land in Kingston. And had it, no one would have been able to pick her up because of the curtailed travel.

She boarded today fine, and the airline in fact put her up yesterday, which I'm completely surprised by.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Grrr. Someone's bitching to my boss about me blowing off a meeting that is not in my calendar. The same person meeting was setting up a couple of meetings for tomorrow and I pinged her when I only got one invite. Because she only put herself on it. Feh.

Well, I know the cause of the tomorrow screw up. I'm reasonably sure we now understand what today's screw up was. But I don't want to bring it up and make it clear that my boss told me what she was saying. (We both report to her and I don't want to drag her into the middle more than I can help.)

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

eh, as long as your boss knows what's up, I wouldn't worry about it.

I know. It just chaps my ass. ( Someone's being wrong about me on off the internet!)

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Not as sleepy as I would have expected, having stayed up to watch "Lost". (and had a little trouble falling asleep afterwards)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My family is currently hunkered down in the main domicile and not going anywhere and trusting that the private security firm they've engaged will keep them safe from roaming gunmen.

On the upside, the tourist areas are just fine.

Hmmph.
