So according to the Unemployment Insurance Agency's website, they don't withhold more than 20% of a benefit check to pay restitution unless the overpayment was fraud, wherein they will take 100%.
The notices we received from UIA stating the overpayment say that it wasn't fraudulent (I'll double check at home). But they took all of our last check.

I am 4 hours into working today and not even close to halfway through the invoices alone. oy. At least it looks like hitting my 25 hours a week won't be hard.
Mac's friend JP is over and they are playing on the PS2. JP is afraid of animals, all animals it seems. The cats send him up on furniture. He is the same with my parents' Havanese.
And I have unpacked the first items to be immediately thrown away: 2 plastic shot glasses from a bar where I lived over 15 years ago. TOSS!
1 glass shelf broken, 1 glass vase broken. still less than 20 boxes in.
OMG. So I went and got chips and queso for (part of) dinner. I thought it was kind of expensive, until I saw how much they were giving me. So then I thought I would never eat it all...and now all the cheese is gone. Oops.
I want chips and guac for dinner, but have no chips!!!! no way am I going to drive somewhere today.
I would have liked guac as well, but had to draw a line somewhere...
Now, I want chips and guac and salsa!
