Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Sobriety is overrated.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Yikes, Suzi. I hope your friend's surgery will be able to put her back together.

I'm back in NC again, with as full computer access as a loving cat across my wrists allows. Last Friday Aims invited me and Debetesse over for a delicious dinner. I also got to meet the ever-charming Emmeline. It was a lovely way to cap off my vacation. Midwest-istas are awesome.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Have yet to sleep straight through the night in the new house. I hope that ends once the furniture gets here.

Today we church with the parents. They go to early church, 8:30. That is earlier than I would wake up for church in ny. We will be done and leaving by the time we would have arrived at chirch in ny.

Mac and I are both preparing for a small herd of people to swarm us. Mom and dad are very active in the church and these people know all about our stuff.

Our wings are not tired.

Happy belated to Juliana!

Sending the ~ma to J for a quick recovery.

$$ is a good thing, Kat. So is visiting the PNW. Sorry it has to be a choice thing.

Best wishes for facing the swarm, msbelle. Community and family support is a wonderful thing to have in this life.

Enh. Choice is actually a total privilege and it's NICE to get to make the choice. Sad that choosing means no vacation this year.

Maybe instead we'll try to stay in the Bay Area for an extended time and (like 4 days) and hike and visit?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Meh. My wrist hurts. Maybe I slept on it wrong.

Punishingly Intricate

Cash, derby!! My derby name would have been Harpoon Lee but I couldn't make the time commitment. Also can't skate. I have a lot of derby friends if you have any questions, though!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Good morning everyone. Happy belated birthday, juliana!

Sorry to hear about canceling the Seattle trip, Kat. I made a similar choice this summer--teaching summer school vs getting a nice vacation. Oh well. Like you, I felt I was lucky to get the opportunity to earn more money in this economy, and we needed it since one of DH's bosses ran out of funding and hasn't been able to pay him for the past few months' work. ::grumble::rassen frassen grant money::

Hey Kat, I have some of clothes for you. Isaac had another growth spurt, plus I'm culling more of the 4Ts from Franny's closet.
