Paternal grandparents went to science, maternal to the dirt.

OK, so I think I'm at the point on one TINY section where all the more to do is a light stripper after sanding and picking at nooks with pointy things: [link] [link] May not look like progress, but it is: [link]

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

If only we'd had sensors on you.

Bruising seems to be Nature's Impact Sensor. Stoopid sensors.

Now tagless for your comfort.

This one seems a little more early Cure.

Ha! I get that a lot. I was more the Smiths than the Cure.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Today was the third day in a row that my drive home was backed up for over 5 miles because of an accident.

That's the same number of times traffic's been that bad in the last 9 months, if not longer.

I think our "heat" is going to people's heads.

ION, I just cooked and ate the first of my CSA corn.

I probably shouldn't eat all 4 ears tonight, should I?

My brother got this crazy idea somewhere that he wants a bench to be made of his bones (including skull) in a park or somewhere, with a vaguely pompous plaque that then invites you to sit your ass down on him.

My mother has recently made me aware of her (very) specific wishes. It involves cremation and a party boat with an open bar and a guest list. (A guest list!)

I told her I was drawing the line at playing "Bat Out of Hell" on the boat as I felt that that would send the wrong message.

And that message would be...?

brillig

Donate what's possible, cremate what's left. I'd like to be scattered in the mountains, but whatever works for whomever is left to deal with such. Just no display--unless my survivors feel deeply about it--and no taking up space afterwards.
