Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Wow. 10 days after my accident, I just found another bruise....

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Just submitted my paysheet for the week. Even after taking 1 1/2 days off this week, I still have 24 days left. Eeep! I gotta start using those up and soon.

Also, just got a company-wide email from the top IT guy. Looks like they're going to start monitoring Internet activity due to our service really slowing down a lot lately. They shut down access to Pandora (never used it, myself), and they might be targeting YouTube next. I'll probably be going dark online during office hours for a while, except for lunchtime.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I got my amazing CSA haul, and came home and did some cooking! I was thinking yesterday about ground beef with green beans and rice, and I still wanted it today, so I made it up, and man, that hit the spot! As did the delicious corn I had as an appetizer. YUM.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am going to have corn in my CSA bag tonight.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am in the process of making a perfect summer salad -- corn, tomatoes, basil. Maybe I'll put a cucumber in, too, just because I have it.

I got the cashier's check to pay the movers. Then went to Costco with my dad. managed to control myself fairly well, but I bet my stuff was $100.

now we've had dinner and it's just now 6. what to do. I don't want to sit and watch tv or a movie. It's still 97 out, so no yardwork.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Go to Mac's room with him and talk about how all his furniture might go? My parents used to do that with us when we moved and it was always fun and has engendered a lifelong love of arranging rooms.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, I should not have had that Coca Cola with lunch. My heart rate is through the roof.
