It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

bon bon, too sweet? Do you find bananas alone generally too sweet? We blended ours a little longer than normal to get rid of ice crystals.

Not generally. The bananas were pretty ripe, though. I was surprised since everyone seems to love the stuff but ugh. Just did not work for me.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

K hated it too. She thought the texture was weird (but she doesn't like blended bananas).

I'm trapped indoors today but in a good way. Too hot out.

After months of talking about it, I bought new tension rods and have hung curtains between the living room and bedrooms and the den and kitchen. I hope that it will allow us to have the den A/C keep the space cooler, to keep Grace's machinery in the hot kitchen from decooling the den and, at night, to keep the two bedrooms cooler with the doors open and the A/Cs on.

I'm not loving the heat.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Cool. Sam's official debut is Halloween! "Love is kind of crazy with a spooky little bat like you!"

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Quiet day here. Then again, after an earthquake at 5 am, quiet is good.

Anyone around with car knowledge? Does this [link] look like worth checking out?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Instead of curtains, last winter I hung a quilt over my giant patio window/door. I still have it up. It looks great, and more importantly, it does a great job of insulating. So, I recommend window quilts.

Is Plei around? I want a recommendation for Vivo shoes.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I asked my boss - he said Audi has really improved in quality in recent years. The only bad thing is they're rather expensive to repair.

eta: But it has rather low mileage, so maybe major repairs are still far off in the future?

See what's on sale at Amazon or Endless, order a size larger than you usually take, esp. if your feet are wide?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Sam is so fantastic. There are a handful of bats in the backgrounds of several of the books in Matilda's current bedtime reading rotation, and I find myself thinking every time I see them, "Hey, I wonder if they know Sam!"

I mean, he's part of the literary canon now, and clearly all the bats know each other, because there just aren't that many of them. He's probably palling around with Stellaluna right now.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Apparently the CIO is worried she's beating up on me, and the IT Manager is worried the CIO is beating up on me, and honestly? Still the nicest place I've ever worked. I am beginning to wonder if I've had exceptionally bad relationships with my bosses--not my last place, but the two before.
